Eligibility Criteria
Education qualification: Candidates must have an M.sc. or equivalent degree in the relevant subject with atleast 55% marks. (50% marks for reserved category). Students who are appearing in the final year of their M.sc (or awaiting results) are also eligible to apply.
Age limit: For JRF, the maximum age limit is 28 years old and for lectureship there is no age limit.
Exam Structure
The CSIR NET exam is objective in nature and divided into different parts and time duration is usually three hours. The question paper of this exam is carefully designed to judge the both basic understanding and advanced knowledge. The paper has three parts:
- Part A: General Aptitude – This section has reasoning, data interpretation, numerical ability and logical questions.
- Part B: Subject Knowledge – Question based on core concepts of your chosen subject.
